The Wonderful Blue Ridge Parkway

From Cherokee, NC to Waynesboro, VA, (where the name changes to The Skyline Drive), nothing can compare to the Blue Ridge Parkway for the sheer beauty of the surrounding countryside. 469 miles of one beautiful vista after another through the Appalachian, Shenandoah, and the Great Smokey Mountains with NO commercial development or a single stop sign. It changes elevation from 619 feet to over 6,000. Plan on taking your time and really looking around for the speed limit is only 45 MPH and strickly enforced. Even so, it's one of the best motorcycle roads in the world.
